Prey 2 confirmed

Confirming the rumours, publisher Bethesda has confirmed that a sequel to FPS title Prey will be released next year on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

The original Prey, which was developed by Human Head Studios and produced by 3D Realms, hit PC and Xbox 360 in mid 2006.

Human Head is back on development duties for the open-world sequel. It will be powered by id tech.

We are thrilled to be working with Bethesda on Prey 2,” project lead Chris Rhinehart exclaimed. "Prey 2 will provide gamers the opportunity to explore a new facet of the Prey universe, one that offers fast-paced action in an open, alien world.

"We’re excited to show gamers the title we have been working on and hope they will be as excited by this title as we are."
