PS4 overtakes Xbox One in Amazon pre-order charts

What a difference a day makes.

Having yesterday been told by Amazon that Xbox One was tracking narrowly ahead of PS4 in the Amazon pre-order charts, this morning has brought with it a change of fortunes.

Keen observers of the situation on Twitter this morning have pointed out to MCV that Amazon’s Videogames Best Sellers chart this morning shows PS4 in the top spot. PS3 title The Last of Us is in second and Microsoft’s Xbox One has now slipped to third.

Amazon has not supplied us with any firm data to reveal the extent of the sales disparity.

Also pointed out to MCV was the fact that PS4 is currently tracking as the third most pre-ordered item on ShopTo.net with Xbox One the fifth.

Of course very early days, but these barometers of consumer intent are certainly worth a mention.
