Respawn teases first game

Respawn Entertainment has released a teaser image of its first video game.

The studio made the reveal on its new website, which also shows off a revised logo, profiles of members of staff and images of the development process.

Respawn was formed by ex-Infinity Ward men Vince Zampella and Jason West last year who went on to hire many developers who worked with them on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games. EA signed a publishing deal with the studio.

Respaw’s headcount currently stands at 52. The studio recently hired artists who have worked at God of War developer SCE Santa Monica Studio. Former G4TV content producer Abbie Heppe has also been hired as Respawn’s community manager.

The legal dispute between Call of Duty publisher Activision and West and Zampella is ongoing. Before they formed Respawn, the pair were fired by Activision for insubordination.

Respawn’s teaser image of its first game can be found below. The studio has confirmed the title will be released on multiple platforms.
