Dragon Quest IX dated

The latest instalment in one of the world’s largest RPG series has finally been given a UK release date.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is the first in the series to be released exclusively on a handheld, and will hit DS on July 23rd. It’s scheduled to arrive in North America on July 11th.

Developed by RPG masters Square Enix, the title has already shifted an impressive 4.2m units since its release in Japan in July last year.

The game claims to be one of the largest titles ever to hit Nintendo’s handheld and offers up to four player simultaneous multiplayer over a local wireless connection.
