Sony has really pulled one out of the bag at its E3 presentation by confirming that Final Fantasy XIV is on the way – and furthermore, it will be exclusive to PS3.
With Microsoft still basking in the glow of the news that FFXIII will be coming to Xbox 360 one year on from the announcement, this FFXIV exclusivity deal is a major notch in PS3’s bedpost.
Like Final Fantasy XI, the new game is an online title and could prove to be the one that brings MMO gaming to consoles at last.
There’s no release date as yet.
