Temple Run 2 downloaded 20m times since launch

The iOS version of Temple Run 2 is off to a very fast start.

The sequel to the endless runner hit has been downloaded over 20m times since it launched late last week, collecting 6m downloads alone on its release day.

The response from fans has been overwhelming,” said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.”

The original Temple Run has accrued over 170m downloads between iOS and Android versions.

Temple Run 2, like its predecessor, is free to download. Players can collect coins and gems for unlockables playing the actual game, or purchase them from the menu. An Android version of the game is expected to arrive sometime later this week.
