It appears that the Oculus Rift VR revolution has yet to reach the UK.
The headset officially launched on March 28th, but Kotaku reports that as far as it can gather, the only people in the UK to have actually received their devices are original Kickstarter backers.
Oculus said earlier this week that unexpected component shortages” had slowed some shipping times, but hasn’t yet been more specific. UK orders were initially due to arrive between one and three weeks after launch.
HTC Vive isn’t without its problems, either. Again, problems with the ordering system were reported earlier this week. And despite having now officially launched, Kotaku adds that it appears all those who didn’t pay via Paypal have experienced issues that have held up the shipping of their Vive order.
Many customers still claim to be in the dark about when their Vives will be shipped, too. The problems seems to be linked to HTC’s UK payment partner, Digital River.
