UK charts: Overcooked 2 and We Happy Few launch into Top Ten

For a seventh consecutive week, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was at the top of the charts this week, with sales only dropping 18 per cent week-on-week.

Lego The Incredibles also held on to No.2, where it’s been ever since its launch on July 13th. Sales for Warner Bros’ title were down 32 per cent week-on-week.

The two hits had to share the Top Ten with some new entries this week, with EA Sports’ Madden NFL 19 debuting at No.5. Sales were down 45.9 per cent compared to last year’s entry, Madden NFL 18, which debuted at No.4 back in August 2017.

Other new entries this week included Team17’s Overcooked 2, which debuted at No.8. Sales for this sequel went predominantly to the PS4 (42 per cent of the sales) and the Switch (41 per cent), while the Xbox One only got a 17 per cent share.

Meanwhile, We Happy Few debuted at No.10. We recently talked to Compulsion Games’ narrative director Alex Epstein about the game, its evolution in public and the studio’s acquisition by Microsoft – you can read it here.
