Betradar and DOJO Madness team up to offer in-play League of Legends betting

Betradar has introduced live odds for League of Legends after partnering up with esports data outfit DOJO Madness.

Live odds is something of a holy grail for esports betting, with many tournaments marred in terms of gambling by ‘betting suspended’ while most games are in play. Several companies are making inroads in the space. DOJO Madness has, according to the press release, analysed over 450,000 rounds and 18 million individual data points to build models for the live odds to use.

The real-time probabilities kicked out by the algorithms must be decent enough as Betradar are now providing in-play betting, where a big error could prove disastrous for any operator clients that are caught out.

James Watson, Betradar’s head of esports, said in a press release: “We are delighted that we can now offer our League of Legends in-play odds to the market. LoL is the number one esport title played globally with over 100 million unique players per month.”

“It has an established tournament structure with events held all the way through the calendar year, while the recently announced franchise model showcases the stability and sustainability of the LoL ecosystem.”

“This is all good news for operators looking to offer a highly attractive esports betting product. What makes the news even better is that our clients can now enjoy unbeatable up-times, the best array of markets with more to follow, including a range of live player markets.”
