VIDEO: Destiny beta to launch first on PlayStation consoles

PS3 and PS4 owners will get first crack at beta testing Bungie’s Destiny, the studio has revealed.

Bungie COO Pete Parsons announced the news earlier today during Spike’s PS4 All Access event.

"We’re going to give first access to the PlayStation nation, PS4 and PS3 owners," Parsons said.

The beta is scheduled for Q1 2014 and offered as a redemption code for those who pre-order the game at participating retailers.

Destiny itself is due out in Q2 of next year for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Have a look at the new trailer:
