You can now buy Xbox games with Bitcoin

Microsoft has become the latest company to start accepting payments in Bitcoin.

The Verge reports that Bitcoin has quietly been implemented as an option when adding funds to a Microsoft account, meaning it can be used for Xbox and Windows games, music and video purchases.

There are some caveats, however. Bitcoin can only be used by US accounts and purchases using it cannot be refunded.

Last week online retailer Green Man Gaming begun accepting Bitcoin payments. In October High Street retailer CEX introduced Bitcoin payments to a number of its stores.
