UBISOFT: Jacko heading to handhelds

Ubisoft will be bringing popular 2010 dance title Michael Jackson: The Experience to 3DS and NGP later this year.

As with the console versions, the new iterations of Michael Jackson tasks players with dancing along to 15 of the late King of Pop’s biggest hits. As gamers progress, they unlock bonus content such as Michael’s special outfits or power-up gloves.

Ubisoft claims each SKU has been tailored to suit the unique capabilities of the 3DS and NGP. For example, 3DS owners will be able to draw a series of shapes on the touch screen in the time with the beat, which triggers dance moves.

Michael Jackson: The Experience was originally released on Wii, DS and PSP in November 2010. Earlier this year, it was released for Kinect and PlayStation Move.

The 3DS and NGP versions are due in Q4 2011.
