Metacritic introduces individual dev ratings

Review score aggregator Metacritic has begun profiling individual games industry professionals.

Individual listings of studio heads, project leads and game designers currently show a basic outline of their career work.

Data for individual developers cannot yet be navigated from the Metacritic home pages or games pages, but custom entry URLs show profiles of some of the industry’s most notable developers.

News site Gamasutra searched for developers such as Ken Levine, Peter Molyneux and Cliff Bleszinski, who scored 89, 82 and 86 respectively.

The scores appear to be only available to developers credited to Metacritic-ranked games.

Metacritic’s plan with the develop scores has yet to be explained.

The website already offers score averages for individual publishers, and found last year that Take-Two Interactive was the highest scoring in its field.
