Plants Vs Zombies confirmed for DS

Plants Vs Zombies will be released for Nintendo DS in the US in January 2011.

The new handheld version of Popcap’s highly acclaimed tower defence game was confirmed by PR exec Laurie Thornton’s Twitter feed.

While a UK price point or date has yet to be announced, the game will reportedly retail for $19.95 in America.

According to Destructoid, this edition will boast new and exclusive content” in addition to the game’s original campaign and mini-games.

Plants Vs Zombies is already available on PC, iPhone and iPad. Retail and digital versions are due for release on Xbox 360 next month.
