UK date for Skate 3

The third entry in the Tony Hawk’s-toppling extreme sports series Skate 3 will arrive at UK retail on May 14th, the publisher has confirmed.

The game’s key new feature is the ability for gamer’s to form teams of skaters both on and offline to compete in challenges and face-offs, as well as extensive new park editing options.

There’s also a nod to newcomers to the sport with the inclusion of Coash Frank who acts as a mentor, guiding players through the intricacies of skating.

Since the very beginning of the Skate franchise, we have captured the true essence skateboarding, be it from the feel of nailing that perfect trick, to the feeling of just hanging out and sessioning with your friends,” senior producer Jason DeLong stated.

For us, Skate 3 is the culmination of this endeavour – the most connected, accessible and social skateboarding experience yet.”

The game will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3.
