US: Wii dominates Amazons bestseller list

The Wii dominated the top-selling list of Amazon’s video game category, accounting for nine of the Top 10 items.

Nintendo hardware outsold software across all formats in 2009, with the US version of the online retailer’s site listing the standard Wii SKU as the bestselling item of the year.

The Wii Remote, MotionPlus add-on and Nunchuk controller takes second, third and fourth positions respectively.

New Super Mario Bros was the bestselling game of the year at No.5, followed by a trio of Nintendo titles in the form of Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit.

The Xbox 360 version of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the only non-Nintendo item in the Top 10, followed by Mario Kart Wii.
