Sony offers £40 PS3 saving online

Despite repeatedly confirming there will be no official price cut for the PS3, Sony is offering significant savings to consumers who purchase various models of the console directly from its website.

Available in 40Gb, 80Gb and 160Gb versions, current prices for the PS3 on Sony Europe’s direct sales division Sony Style start at 249.99, representing a saving of 40 for the 40Gb model.

The platform holder has stated there will be no official price cut on the High Street this Christmas, positioning the PS3 as the most expensive console on the market.
