Zavvi unveils Nintendo zone

Entertainment retail chain Zavvi has teamed up with Nintendo to create a dedicated in-store area designed to promote the publisher’s consoles plus first and third party titles.

The format holder’s devoted section has been set up in Zavvi’s flagship store in Oxford Street, London. The set-up is part of the retailer’s Christmas gaming push – its first since it re-branded and cut ties with former parent Virgin.

The Nintendo area demonstrates Zavvi’s commitment to games and gives customers a complete games experience,” Patrick Kelly, head of games at Zavvi told MCV.

Once Christmas is over, the retailer will open new stores in Bristol, Liverpool and Belfast.
