Digital entertainment marketplace G2A.COM today announced the renewal of its long-term partnership with World of Warcraft professional guild Echo Esports. This sponsorship supports Echo’s latest bid to become champions of the World of Warcraft: Midnight Race to World First (RWF). The collaboration marks a decade of G2A.COM’s involvement in esports, with total investments exceeding €12 million globally.
The Midnight Race to World First: A New Challenge Across Three Raids
The WoW: Midnight expansion introduces an historic, high-stakes shift by launching three separate raids within a single tier, a first in the game’s history. This unprecedented “Triple-Raid” structure turns the RWF into a marathon of endurance and logistical complexity. Guilds must decide how to split their resources and optimise gear acquisition across three simultaneous fronts: The Voidspire, The Dreamrift, and the March on Quel’Danas. Top contenders like Echo must optimise progression across nine bosses, including major encounters such as Imperator Averzian and the climactic Midnight Falls. G2A.COM‘s investment helps provide the professional-grade support staff and infrastructure essential for Echo’s epic endeavour.
Echo Esports Returns as a Top Contender
G2A.COM’s renewed partnership with Echo builds on over 10 years of investment in global esports. It has supported more than 70 professional teams and 110 international esports events to date. This long-term financial backing lets Echo, who recently finished second globally, focus entirely on reclaiming the World First title during this new gauntlet. As part of the ongoing collaboration, G2A.COM will again support Echo’s raid broadcasts with dedicated stream sponsorships, interactive activations, and a curated landing page featuring the Echo team’s favourite titles. Fans can join the celebration by using code ECHO10 for special discounts during the event.
The Race to World First officially started on 17 March 2026, with Normal and Heroic modes opening for The Voidspire and The Dreamrift. Mythic mode for these raids begins on 24 March, and the final challenge, March on Quel’Danas, opens in all difficulties on 31 March.
