Limit Break, the leading mentorship scheme dedicated to championing diverse talent and creativity in the UK games industry, has announced the opening of applications for mentors and mentees for its 2026 program.
Entering its eighth year, Limit Break Mentorship continues its mission to promote creative diversity in the industry through connecting people from underrepresented and marginalised backgrounds with experienced industry mentors, to support them in advancing their careers. Since its foundation in 2019, Limit Break has welcomed over 5,000 individual professionals, representing more than 400 UK games companies.
The program’s impact has been recognised with numerous awards, most recently winning Diversity & Inclusion Champion at the 2026 Ukie Games Industry Awards.
Through the Limit Break platform, mentees from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines are matched with experienced professionals drawn from across the industry, for a structured six-month mentorship. The free program is based on monthly one-to-one meetings, coupled with access to exclusive events, resources and guidance, and the opportunity to build connections as part of the dynamic Limit Break community. Designed to support both mentors and mentees to develop their skills and knowledge, the program is focused on supporting professional growth and helping to contribute to a bright industry future.
“Diverse creativity and talent are part of what makes the games industry so special, and we know how important mentorship can be in supporting the brilliant people who can help keep our industry rich with that diversity and passion – because our mentors and mentees tell us every year!” commented Anisa Sanusi, Founder of Limit Break.
Limit Break Director, Dan Thomas, added, “It is incredibly exciting to be able to bring Limit Break back for our eighth year. It is a challenging time for the industry, but we believe that mentorship can play a really positive role in the current context – both in terms of individual development, and in promoting a stronger industry future, and we are very grateful to everyone that supports Limit Break’s mission.”
Mentee applications are open to anyone in the UK and Ireland currently working in the games industry or seeking to enter it, who identifies as part of a marginalised or underrepresented gender, orientation or ethnicity group, in addition to neurodiverse people and those with disabilities.
Applications are welcomed from any prospective mentors with over three years of relevant industry experience.
Potential mentors and mentees can apply now through the Limit Break Mentorship website. Applications are open until midnight, April 20th 2026. www.limitbreak.co.uk
