New book shares female developer success stories

A new book has been released that charts the rise of some of the most successful women in the games development community.

Women In Game Development: Breaking The Glass Level Cap offers essays by notable female games makers and aims to help encourage more ladies to break into the industry, VentureBeat reports.

The book has been edited by Jennifer Brandes Hepler, who has worked as a writer on the Dragon Age series, Star Wars: The Old Republic and Game of Thrones: Ascent.

Contributors include Firewatch artist Jane Ng, Gian Spacekat founder Brianna Wu, Free Realms creative director Laralyn McWilliams, and former Her Interactive head and Spiral Media co-CEO Megan Gaiser.

The book is now available via Amazon.
