UK indie VooFoo announces move into self-publishing

Brum developer VooFoo Studios has announced plans to self-publish its next title – a first for the outlet.

The Hustle Kings, Pure Pool and Big Sky Infinity creator will bring Mantis Burn Racing to PC and console later this year, following a launch on Steam Early Access.

VooFoo recently picked up former Bandai Namco and Disney Interactive alumnus Sean Walsh as marketing and PR manager as part of its transition into publishing.

“Having developed multi-million selling products for handheld, PC and console, we have outstanding pedigree as a studio,” said technology director Mark Williams.

“With incredible talent already in place at the studio, we’re more than ready to become masters of our own destiny, creating innovative and memorable experiences, steering VooFoo into a bright and exciting future.”
