Dark Souls being added to Xbox One backwards compatibility

One of the last generation’s most celebrated releases appears to be heading to the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list for Xbox One.

As spotted by Reddit, the listing for Dark Souls 3 on the Australian Xbox store revealed that buyers will receive a backwards compatible version of the cherished Dark Souls. Pre-orders were to receive this game within seven to ten days, suggesting a launch as soon as next week.

Note that Dark Souls has yet to be formerly announced for backwards compatibility, and all mention of the offer has now been removed from the listing.

The same listing also revealed, as spotted by Videogamer, that Dark Souls 3 is getting the Season Pass treatment. Included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, which costs around 19 more than the standard edition, the Pass grants access to two DLC release offering new weapons, maps, enemies and bosses.
