GOG launches early access programme

Digital games retailer GOG.com is introducing an early access section to its website.

The Polish firm has promised that its version of early access will feature hand-picked games that are still in development.

On top of this, GOG has said that games in its early access scheme are subject to a 14-day return policy.

So far, five games have been launched in the programme – Starbound, Ashes of the Singularity, Project Zomboid, TerraTech and Curious Expeditions. Until 1:59pm on February 2nd, these games are 40 per cent off.

"Our goal has always been to offer a selection of titles that are both excellent and worth your time. Nowadays, we’re seeing more games that are already great experiences while still in development," GOG MD Piotr Karwowski said.

"We want all gamers on GOG.com to have access to what these titles have to offer, but we want to get it right, carefully evaluating each and every game, offering a 14-day refund policy, and providing GOG Galaxy support with update rollback and more."
