Resident Evil HD passes 1m worldwide sales

Capcom has revealed that its recent reworking of survival horror classic Resident Evil has been a strong seller.

Specifically, the game has sold over 1m units worldwide since its release on January 20th.

This is in part because the dev team made a great product, but also because of the excellent word of mouth and general praise fans shared about the title,” the publisher said.

We want to thank everyone for rediscovering this modern classic – or thank you for trying it for the first time.

The game, which was announced in August 2014, broke PSN records upon its release by becoming the fastest selling title ever released on the service, shifting more copies in its first day than any game before it.
