Capcom reveals Ghostbusters Puzzle Fighter for iOS

The latest Ghostbusters game is coming to iOS in the form of a puzzle-card game-RPG mashup.

Ghostbusters Puzzle Fighter, due out in June, will be developed by Beeline, the studio behind the freemium Ghostbusters mobile game released back in 2013.

Despite embracing the moniker of Capcom’s popular Street Fighter-tile-matching hybrid (its full name was actuallySuper Puzzle Fighter II Turbo), the outlet made no mention of Ghostbusters Puzzle Fighter encorporating fighting mechanics.

Players will be able to collect characters – both spectral and living – from the Ghostbusters universe in order to form teams.

These characters are then seemingly pitted against sets of match-three tile-matching games, akin to Bejewled or Candy Crush.
