Pablo Paniagua joins social games firm as head of product

Storm8 hires former Zynga VP

Mobile social gaming network Storm8 has recruited former Zynga exec Pablo Paniagua.

Paniagua joins the firm as head of product, similar to his earlier position as vice president of product at the FarmVille company.

At Zynga, he was responsible for overseeing product across multiple platform teams, including Zynga.com and the firm’s Friends Network. Prior to joining Storm8, he worked at online event marketing start-up Splash.

Of the new hire, CEO Perry Tam said: "Storm8 is entering a new stage of growth in 2015, and we’re aggressively hiring to support expansion. Pablo is one of the strongest technology product leaders today, and his platform and games experience made him the natural choice to lead our product team as we continue to scale Storm8’s network."

Founded in 2009, Storm8 has more than 45 games across multiple mobile platforms, including the Restaurant Story series and licensed title Monopoly Bingo!
