Gone Home co-creator reveals Dim Bulb’s first game

Johnnemann Nordhagen, co-creator of Gone Home and founder of Dim Bulb Games, has lifted the lid on the latter’s first title.

Entitled Where The Water Tastes Like Wine, the game is an exploration game set in a dreamlike and fantastical vision of America. 

According to Dim Bulb, players "freely explore the world, seek out landmarks and cities, meet other travellers and hear their stories, and maybe even tell stories of their own".

The title is inspired by American folk cultures, the sharing of songs and stories between European settlers, slaves, workers and Native Americans. Similar works cited include Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, John Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath and Jack Kerouac’s On The Road.

All that has been shown of the game so far is concept art (pictured above, with more on the studio’s official site).

Nordhagen founded San Francisco-based indie Dim Bulb Games back in June.
