Latest Wii U update adds menu folders, other interface improvements

Nintendo has rolled out a new firmware update for Wii U, adding an oft-requested organization feature on the console’s dashboard among other improvements.

The hardware’s 5.2.0 U update – available to download now – brings folders to the Wii U menu, allowing users to create places to organize and store software icons (games, apps, etc.).

The Quick Start menu will now display when the Wii U is powered on from the Wii U GamePad TV remote, and the ability to hide certain software on the menu has been included as well.

The patch also adds a Download Management icon added to the Wii U menu, along with layout improvements of the Home menu and other various fixes.
