OlliOlli out now on PlayStation consoles

Roll7’s skateboarding hit OlliOlli is now available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 platforms.

The PS console versions are straight ports of the original PS Vita release, though they do pack upgraded menu systems and leaderboards. The leaderboards have also been added in an update to the Vita edition.

In Roll7’s press announcement, studio director Simon Bennett explained that the studio was taken by surprise at the level of success the game saw on Vita right from the start.

"[SCEE’s] Shahid [Kamal Ahmad] and Spencer [Low] at PlayStation in London pretty much insisted we did the port after the first day’s success, it was totally unexpected and took a while to sink in," Bennett said.

"We have since been working our collective balls off to bring OlliOlli to PS3 and PS4 — it could not have happened without the diligence and hard work from BlitWorks in Spain and Sam, our QA Manager here."

OlliOlli debuted on Vita earlier this year, and later received a release on Steam for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.
