New platform support and profiler enhancements added

Audio toolset FMOD Studio 1.4 goes live

Firelight Technologies has release version 1.4 of its audio tool suite FMOD Studio.

The latest release adds support for extra platforms, and the tool can now be used for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One Linux, Windows Phone 8.1, Mac, iOS, Android and Vita titles.

The profiler has been updated to feature live game output recording, playback and scrubbing, as well as support for a host of new data tracks including, per event instance, voice, CPU, parameter values, 3D values and instance tracking.

FMOD 5 has also been updated to boost mixing and decoding performance by up to 30 per cent with updated 3D functionality.

Firelight’s audio tools have been used in a number of recently release games, including the Supergiant Games’ Transistor, Evolution’s Driveclub and Turn 10’s Forza 5.
