Synthesis opens new office in Brazil

Translation firm Synthesis has opened a new office in Brazil.

The firm claims it is the first localisation firm to do so, and is in response to the growing Brazilian games market, which grew 11 per cent to $3bn last year.

The new office is placed in Rio de Janeiro, and features a recording studio.

“Synthesis is the first video game localisation provider to open a branch in Brazil," said MD of Synthesis Max Reynaud.

"We are very proud of our latest addition and we are investing in our new office as we believe that Brazil is now one of the most important markets in Latin America. Synthesis Brasil will play a critical role in expanding our business, allowing our clients to reach new markets and establishing Synthesis as the global provider of video game localisation.”

Mauro Bossetti, managing director of Synthesis Brasil added: “Our new branch is a logical development of the ever increasing number of requests coming from our clients concerning the Brazilian Portuguese language. The synergy with our colleagues in Madrid was critical for the rapid expansion of our team and will be fundamental to guarantee the highest quality for our localisation for the future.”
