Changes at GameSpot UK as Cocker departs

Guy Cocker has left GameSpot UK, MCV understands, as part of bigger shifts at the site’s London-based operation.

Parent firm CBS has declined to comment, but we believe a management reorganisation means the UK outfit will now report more directly to its US parent team.

Cocker departed last week.

He has been working at the site for seven years, working his way up from staff writer to features writer in 2007 to editor in 2009.

GameSpot UK was relaunched in the UK with a more dedicated output and bigger local team in 2006.
