Original iPhone will be declared ‘obsolete’ next month

Apple’s original iPhone of 2007 is to become obsolete in June, according to internal info.

The documentation, picked up by9to5mac.com, shows the headset manufacturer will classify the original iPhone as ‘obsolete’ everywhere, except the US, from June 11th – this applies to all Apple products that were discontinued more than seven years ago.

Apple has already ceased most of its software support for the original iPhone, with iOS 3.0 being the last firmware update to the hardware.
