BioWare’s free-to-play Ultima Forever headed to PC and iPad

BioWare Mythic is reviving the Ultima franchise with its announcement of Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar.

The new game will be free-to-play and will be available on the iPad and PC with cross-platform support, allowing players on both platforms to share their experiences with each other.

We’re excited to give gamers the opportunity to play a high quality game with their friends anytime, anywhere, on both iPad and PC,” said BioWare co-founder Dr Ray Muzyka.

The Western action RPG will allow you to play either as a fighter or a mage, and you’ll be able to tackle the game either by yourself or in co-op.

Ultima Online is set for release later this year, and EA is now accepting beta sign-ups via the game’s official website.
