THQ vows to give sequel 'appropriate marketing'

Metro: 2033 sales surpass 1.5 million

THQ’s Metro 2033 has passed 1.5 million sales, the publisher has announced.

The post-apocalyptic subterranian shooter from 4A Games recieved good reveiws but poor sales when it launched last March, but THQ has said the game was still profitable, and acknowledges that the game could have recieved better marketing support.

"The reality is, back then, THQ didn’t market the game and we’re very aware of that," Rich Williams, SVP of Global Marketing at THQ, said during an investor meeting this morning, reports Joystiq.

"We’re absolutely committed to marketing [Metro: Last Light] appropriately."
