Valve plans to include viewable library and better screenshot support

Current Steam mobile app ‘only phase one’

Valve is planning expansions to its mobile Steam app in the near future, an engineer who worked on the project has revealed.

Kutta Srinivasan told Gamasutra that the app, launched in January for iOS and Android, had been created in response to public demand.

"All relevant Steam community and economy features will be available from your mobile device," said Srinivasan.

"We’d love to see individual games hook into the service and provide mobile optimized web pages and experiences that we can link to from the game description pages.

"In general, we have a healthy list and expect it to grow, with new opportunities presenting themselves as the list becomes more robust."

This list is said to include a viewable library and better screenshot support.

There is no known date for these updates.
