Asda slashes £50 off Wii U

Supermarket giant Asda has cut the price of Wii U, with the Premium Pack with Nintendo Land now on sale for just 249.

The supermarket chain has also cut the 8GB Basic set to 199, with ShopTo also going below the 200 mark to 190. Both retailers hope the reductions can help stimulate sales of the hardware.

Wii U has struggled to gain traction in the market since its launch last year, performing below expectations for a new console. The price cut arrives ahead of the launch of some overdue Wii U titles, namely LEGO City Undercover and Monster Hunter 3.

The offer is available from the Asda Direct website.
