Activision teases new Call of Duty 2014 screenshot

An image from this year’s Call of Duty title has been released.

The picture shows a highly detailed character model. It was shown off by Sledgehammer Games at a panel at this year’s Games Developers Conference and was uploaded today by IGN.

This year’s Call of Duty title, made by Sledgehammer, is primarily being developed for next-gen consoles, and judging from this image, the team is aiming for a high level of graphical detail.

This year marks the first Call of Duty title from Sledgehammer, though the studio contributed to 2011’s Modern Warfare 3. The team joins Infinity Ward and Treyarch in a three-year development cycle for the shooter series and is made up of former staff that worked on EA’s Dead Space series.
