48 developers register to develop games for hardware

Xbox One coming to Japan on September 4th

Microsoft’s Xbox One console will launch in Japan on September 4th.

Revealing the news via Twitter, the firm said 48 local game developers have registered to make games for the hardware.

Gematsu reports that companies supporting the console in Japan include Arc System Works, Atlus, Bandai Namco, Capcom, From Software, GungHo Online Entertainment, Marvelous AQL, Silicon Studio and Square Enix.

The Xbox One launched in 13 countries including the UK and USA on November 22nd last year.

So far the console is said to have shipped five million units to retailers.
