Amazon delivery lockers coming to UK

Etail giant Amazon has plans to install a network of item collection ‘lockers’ in shopping centers in the UK.

The move is set to echo a similar trial of delivery lockers across the chain of 7-Eleven stores in the US. The UK lockers which allow customers to pick up items ordered from the web site are to appear in secondary areas near public toilets and such in British shopping centers around the country.

Aimed specifically at customers that find home delivery inconvenient, the first of the etail giant’s lockers have already appeared at the One New Change shopping center in London according to aRetail Week report(paywall).
