AU/NZ pricing details on Sony’s Gamescom announcements

Sony has officially announced the Australian and New Zealand prices for the PSP-E1000, 24" 3D Display and the new price of the PS3.

The 160Gb PS3 model will move from AUD$499 to AUD$349, and NZD$599 to NZD$479.The 320Gb PS3 will see similar price drops, moving from AUD$499 to AUD$349, and NZD$579 to NZD$499.

JB HiFi have confirmed that they will be including a choice of two games with the 160Gb PS3, or three games with the 320Gb PS3 at the RRP.No other deals have as yet been confirmed by local retailers.

The new model PSP-E1000 (which is a slimmed down version lacking WiFi) will retail in November for AUD$139.95 or NZD$179.95, and is looking like one more push to introduce gamers to the PSP brand before PS Vita launches next year.

Meanwhile, the Playstation-branded 24" 3D Display has been confirmed for Europe, and will retail for AUD$699.95 or NZD$849.95 when it hits in Spring.
