BBC iPlayer is now available on Wii U

Wii U owners can now stream and catch up with their favourite BBC shows on their console.

Seemingly without warning, a listing for the BBC’s online service has appeared on the Nintendo eShop, and was spotted by Nintendo Life.

BBC’s streaming service weighs in at 94MB, and allows for gamers to watch shows off screen with the Wii U GamePad.

Further more, shows can be watched in HD playback.

iPlayer has been available on the Xbox One since December 2014, while it has been on PlayStation 4 since its launch in November 2013.
