Crystal Red and Blue Nintendo 2DS confirmed for North America

The Crystal Red and Blue 2DS models that arrived at European retail last week are scheduled to launch in North America later this month, Nintendo has announced.

In terms of marketing the 2DS, Nintendo is still largely focusing its efforts toward younger audiences and portable gaming newcomers.

With a durable design and lower price point, Nintendo 2DS is a great first-time system for kids or anyone new to portable gaming.”

Kids will love the slick semi-transparent design, and gamers of all ages will enjoy having access to a library of more than 3,000 games, including the recently launched Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and other great games like Mario Kart 7 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.”

Both hardware packages will launch for the newly reduced price of $99 on November 21st – the same day Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release.
