Fils-Aime questions PSPgo appeal

In a not so thinly veiled attack on its competitor, Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has stated that anyone considering buying a PSPgo may want to have a long think about what the product offers over its predecessor.

The device may have a fundamental concept problem in terms of ‘who’s it for’ and ‘what’s the benefit?,” Reggie told The Washington Post.

I have the utmost respect for all our competitors but it’s interesting to try and answer the consumer question of ‘what’s in it for me’ in that product.”

In the same interview, Reggie adds that DS title are still able to command a premium price point in the face of cheaper iPhone outings as Nintendo’s machine still offers experiences not possible on the iPhone. CasualGaming.biz has the full story on that one.
