Gameloft reveals Xperia Play exclusive

In the first announcement of its kind, mobile games publisher Gameloft has revealed a new game that will be exclusive to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play for a limited time.

Called Backstab, the initial imagery released stirs up memories of titles like Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia.

It will be a PlayStation Phone only game for one month before hitting other mobile platforms like iOS.

Pocket Gamer reports that the title, which is set in the 18th century, sees players assume the role of Henry Blake. It will be a free-roaming action affair with a heavy emphasis on swordplay.
