GameStop lands 3DS Circle Pad exclusive

Video games retail giant GameStop has been named as the exclusive stockist of Nintendo’s 3DS Circle Pad Pro.

The peripheral has also been given a firm release date in North America – February 7th 2012. It has been priced, too, at $19.99.

The Circle Pad Pro is a sizable extension for the console that plugs into the underside and houses the entire unit. Its primary function is to add a second analogue joystick, as is seen with most home console controllers.

It will ship alongside Capcom’s compatible title Resident Evil: Revelations. Other compatible games include Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Nintendo has not yet announced a release date or price for the accessory in other markets.
