Industry veterans honoured in Awards shortlist

Games industry veterans have been named in the list of flnalists for the first British Inspiration Awards.

The Awards have been set up to honour the top creative minds in Britain across a range of categories, including interactive entertainment, film, TV, music, fashion and the Arts. The ceremony will be held at The Brewery in London on Friday, April 23rd.

The Interactive Entertainment finalists for this year’s British Inspiration Awards are Eidos’ life president Ian Livingstone, Rockstar founder Sam Houser and Codemasters’ co-founders David and Richard Darling.

They join a list of inspirational British icons, including Ian MckKellan, David Attenborough, Richard Branson, Alexander McQueen and more.

The British Inspiration Awards are being driven by an executive committee led by Nintendo’s UK MD David Yarnton.

The quality of our nation’s artistic deeds are expressed profoundly through this list of finalists,” said Yarnton. We’re privileged to be in a position to honour such consistent standard bearers for the great British creative sector.

We also want to stand up and show support for many organisations and charities that deserve more help and support. As a sector this makes us very proud indeed.”
