LoveFilm launches on Wii; Wii U version "coming soon"

Amazon’s digital movie and TV service LoveFilm has today arrived on the Nintendo Wii.

A Wii U versions is said to be coming soon”, though no official date has yet been announced. Membership starts at 4.99 a month. Existing members of the service can start using straight away for no additional fee.

We are thrilled to be partnering with LoveFilm to offer Wii owners and soon Wii U owners on-demand film and TV content to enjoy,” Nintendo UK MD Shelly Pearce stated.

LoveFilm has a proven track record of success and innovation in film distribution and is a very welcome addition.”

LoveFilm is already available on Xbox 360, PS3, iPad, Kindle Fire HD and other web-connected devices such as TVs and Blu-ray players.
