Nintendo apologises for ongoing TVii no-show on Wii U

As is now obviously apparent, Nintendo’s TVii service for Wii U owners did not hit its 2013 launch date for Europe.

TVii is supposed to allow users to access TV channels and streaming video services. A button for the service remains doggedly present on the Wii U in the UK, although pressing it leads to a placeholder message.

We would like to apologise that we were unable to bring the Nintendo TVii service to Europe in 2013 as originally planned,” Nintendo has now stated.

Please continue to keep an eye out for further announcements regarding this service in the near future.”
